Scientists Give Assistance to School Education
Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- The Research Institute of Fish Farming under the State Academy of Sciences of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has rendered assistance to schools in education.

Recently, scientists of the institute, busy as they were with their researches, found time to make many fish specimens and sent them to some 20 secondary schools in Pyongyang.

They, after acquainting themselves with species of fishes taught at secondary school, made specimens of freshwater fishes, sea fishes and shellfishes.

They collected fishes in rivers, reservoirs and seas and solved some scientific and technical problems arising in improving the specimens in morphological and pedagogical way.

The specimens total thousands of several dozen species including carp, rainbow trout, dace and swellfish.

Yun Kyong Su, principal of Pyongyang Munsin Secondary School, which received specimens of 45 species, told KCNA that all the teachers and students of the school were grateful to the scientists for their sincere assistance.
