US Accused of Planning to Bring Nuclear-powered Carrier to West Sea
Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- It is foolish for the United States to frighten the DPRK with its aircraft carrier. The army and people of the DPRK who have bolstered up their war deterrent in every way will mobilize all their potentials and demonstrate the might of Songun Korea, should the enemies dare ignite a war.

Rodong Sinmun Tuesday warns this in a signed commentary.

The reckless military moves stepped up by the U.S. around the Korean Peninsula timed to coincide with the lapse of six decades since the outbreak of the Korean War can never be overlooked, the commentary notes, and goes on:

The U.S. imperialists' intention to bring their nuclear-powered carrier to the West Sea of Korea indicates that they are using the case of warship "Cheonan's" sinking as a golden opportunity to demonstrate their military presence and might.

The U.S. projected war maneuvers in the waters of the West Sea of Korea are not just aimed at demonstrating their might.

They advertise the joint maneuvers are aimed at coping with "infiltration" of DPRK submarines but they pursue an aim to militarily pressurize and contain other powers.

The U.S. bellicose circles are asserting that the "George Washington" will stage its activities independent of the projected exercises and remain there even after they are over. This indicates that they are using the "Cheonan" case as an opportunity for beefing forces in Northeast Asia.

The aim sought by the U.S. in the projected war maneuvers is to establish the sphere of military domination in Northeast Asia and put it under its control.

The U.S. is, however, miscalculating. The Asian countries will not remain passive onlookers to the U.S. imperialists' moves to hold military hegemony.

The U.S. would be well advised to drop their day-dream of putting other countries under its control and dominating the world through highhanded military actions.
