The book deals with the materials on the revolutionary activities of President Kim Il Sung from July of Juche 26 (1937) to November of Juche 27 (1938).

The first part of the book carries what Kim Il Sung said recollecting the period when he was leading the struggle to bring about a new surge in the overall Korean revolution by hastening the preparations for all-people resistance and augmenting the military and political might of the revolutionary ranks while conducting the operation to harass the enemy rear to cope with the situation created after the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese war.

The second part of the book contains reminiscences of anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters telling about the greatness of the President they grasped in their practical struggles, covering the thorny path of the revolution true to his leadership.

It also contains materials dealing with the extraordinary personality of the President as a great man who made long journeys of anti-Japanese bloody battles to realize the historic cause of Korea's liberation and his outstanding commanding art and the spirit of devotedly defending the leader displayed by the anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters.

Its third part deals with materials published by the authorities of the Japanese imperialists, confidential documents of the puppet Manchukou and articles carried by publications at home and abroad at that time on the battles commanded by the President and the activities of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army and the revolutionary organizations including party organizations and the Association for the Restoration of the Fatherland.

The book has an appendix which introduces publications dealing with the anti-Japanese patriotic struggle of the Korean people which mounted under the influence of the anti-Japanese armed struggle and documents on the colonial plunder and the moves to exterminate the Korean nation intensified by the Japanese imperialists and their "punitive operations" against the Korean People's Revolutionary Army in that time.
