Cause of Korean People Supported by Finnish
Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) -- Antti Sika Aho, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, issued a statement on June 22 on the occasion of the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle.

The statement noted that the U.S. could not bring down the young DPRK at all in the Korean War but kneel down before the Korean people to sign the Armistice Agreement at last on July 27, 1953.

The armistice temporarily brought peace to the Korean Peninsula but the danger of a war has not yet vanished, it said, adding:

The U.S. has introduced even nuclear weapons into south Korea, increasing the danger of a nuclear war in the peninsula with each passing day.

The Korean people's struggle for national reunification which had been favorably developing is confronted with the grave challenge due to the anti-reunification moves of the U.S. and the Lee Myung Bak group. The present U.S. administration has not yet rolled back its hostile policy towards the DPRK.

The U.S. is working hard to stifle the DPRK at any cost because the latter is located in a position of geopolitical importance and is building socialism.

The statement strongly demanded that the U.S. withdraw at once its forces out of south Korea and unconditionally respond to the proposal of the DPRK for concluding a peace treaty.

It extended full support to the Korean people in the just cause of achieving the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.
