Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Start of Work at WPK Observed
Pyongyang, June 30 (KCNA) -- A friendly meeting took place in China, lectures and film shows in South Africa and Uganda, film shows in Russia and Malaysia and a ceremony of opening a Korean book and photo exhibition week was held by the Secretariat of the Pan-African Movement between June 12 and 16 on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Displayed in the venue of the exhibition were books and photos on exploits of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

Participants of the film shows watched such Korean films as "Reply of Korea" and "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation".

The chairman of the Group for the Study of the Progressive Ideas of South Africa spoke highly of the exploits performed by Kim Jong Il for party building, saying that the 19th of June is a historic day which made it possible to further develop the WPK into the party of the President.

He noted that Kim Jong Il has enjoyed absolute support and trust from all the Korean people as he has always boundlessly loved them, leading them to victory.

The chairman of the Kampala City Committee of the Uganda National Resistance Movement in a lecture lauded Kim Jong Il as a prominent leader who achieved the single-minded unity of the leader, the party and the popular masses, the unity which can hardly be found in any other country of the world.
