S. Korean Groups Blasts War Moves against DPRK
Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification, the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy, the Preparatory Committee for the Anti-War Peace Solidarity, the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification and other civic and public organizations of various circles of south Korea called a press conference in front of the puppet Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Seoul on June 22 at which they denounced the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors for its reckless moves for a war against the DPRK.

A press release was read out at the press conference. It recalled that the Lee Myung Bak "government" decided to stage a maritime intercepting and inspection maneuver within the framework of PSI in the waters around Pusan Port in October and push forward a proposal for formally partaking of OEG, a core organization of PSI, in November under the pretext of the "Cheonan" case.

"Intercepting", a main principle of actions of PSI, means "checking actions of the other party through bombardment and bombing", it said, adding that this is violations of international law and the Armistice Agreement.

The present "government" is contemplating positively participating in PSI on its own initiative, the press release noted, stressing that this is a very provocative and bellicose step to increase the possibility of military conflict between the south and the north as it undisguisedly revealed its specific scenario to implement its military step against the north.

It said that the Lee Myung Bak "government", driven into a tight corner internally and externally for fabricating the "Cheonan" case, seeks a way-out in increasing the danger of war through military tension and conflicts between the south and the north.

It strongly demanded the authorities stop at once the hostile policy toward the north, a policy seriously threatening the peace on the Korean Peninsula.
