Meetings for Solidarity with Korean People Held in Various Countries
Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Meetings for solidarity with the Korean people were held in Norway, Denmark and Bangladesh on the occasions of the 10th anniversary of the publication of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle on June 14 and 15.

Speeches were made there.

Svend Hakon Yagoshen, chairman of the Communist Party of Norway, recalled that the Lee Myung Bak group of south Korea cooked up the case of the sunk warship "Cheonan" in collusion with the U.S. and cried out for "retaliation" and "sanctions" over the so-called "military provocation," groundlessly linking the case with the DPRK, and has gone so frantic in its moves against the DPRK that it referred the case to the UNSC.

It merits a serious attention that the U.S. and the south Korean authorities are kicking up such noisy campaign against DPRK after fabricating the said case, he charged.

Anders Kristensen, chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association, said that the adoption of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration was a historic event in which an end was put to the tragedy of national division and all the Korean people ushered in a new era of independent and peaceful reunification through reconciliation and cooperation in the idea of "By our nation itself".

He demanded the U.S. withdraw at once its armed forces and nuclear weapons from south Korea and immediately respond to the DPRK proposal for concluding a peace treaty.

Speakers at a seminar in Bangladesh proposed naming June 15th, the day of the publication of the historic north-south joint declaration, "day of solidarity with the Korean people" and a statement was made public at a meeting in Norway.

A message to General Secretary Kim Jong Il was adopted at the meeting in Denmark.
