Kang had to undergo the sorrow of a stateless slave from the very day of her birth. It was not until the liberation of Korea that she could lead a genuine life.

She had worked faithfully at several posts, and kept doing good things even after retiring on a pension.

Her especially favorite food is dishes made of bean, and she leads an optimistic life in good health, still doing not only needlework but also kitchen work.
