Fine Art Exhibition Opens
Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- A fine art exhibition was opened at the Pyongyang International Cultural Center Thursday on the occasion of the June 25-July 27 month of anti-U.S. joint struggle.

Displayed at its venue are more than 60 pieces of fine art portraying the commanders of Mt. Paektu, the peerlessly great persons who reliably defended the sovereignty of the country and made distinguished contributions to the cause of national reunification through their prominent and tested leadership, and showing the heroic struggle of the Korean army and people.

Acrylic paintings "The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung unfolding an operation for re-advance" and "In Panmunjom at dawn" vividly represent the exploits of President Kim Il Sung who led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory and the history of Songun revolutionary activities of General Secretary Kim Jong Il who has always won in the showdown with the imperialists including the U.S.

Among those works are Korean painting "On the road of southward advance", oil painting "Soldiers who won victory" and water-color painting "Volunteer for military service on the war front" which reflect the steadfast spirit of defending the motherland and the mass heroism, matchless bravery and self-sacrificing spirit displayed by the stalwart men and officers of the People's Army and the people.

There are also works poignantly satirizing the miserable looks of the U.S. imperialists who suffered shameful defeat and death by heroic Korea's merciless strike.

Posters "Let us become human bullets and bombs in devotedly safeguarding the Party Central Committee!" and "We will send a barrage of fire!" represent the unshakable faith of all the servicepersons and people of the DPRK.
