Jongyojo Vows to Escalate Its Actions for End to Suppression
Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) -- The Teachers Trade Union of south Korea (Jongyojo) declared on June 8 that it would escalate its actions against the puppet authorities' suppression.

The organization accused the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and city and provincial education offices of starting to implement measures for harsh disciplinary actions against hundreds of members of Jongyojo including dismissal.

The results of the "elections to the local self-governing bodies" means a judgment meted out to the present "government" for cracking down upon Jongyojo, the organization noted, adding that the authorities are, however, running amuck to suppress the guiltless unionists, paying no heed to the demand of Jongyojo.

Demanding that the repressive measures against Jongyojo be withdrawn at once, the organization declared it would organize "a joint measure committee for putting an end to the suppression of teachers and government employees" and launch strong actions including a "signature campaign of 400 000 teachers for the withdrawal of unjust disciplinary actions."
