Pyongyang June 9 Ryongbuk Secondary School
Pyongyang, June 8 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang June 9 Ryongbuk Secondary School is widely known in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea for doing well in the education of the rising generation.

On June 9, Juche 58 (1969) President Kim Il Sung chose the site for the school and gave a name to it.

The school has made great achievements in helping the students get an ample knowledge, good moral character and good health.

Kim Jong Chol, 58, principal of the school, told KCNA that they have properly carried on instruction and edification, teaching administration and management of the school.

The work of improving qualifications is in progress among teachers, he said, and continued:

The school has paid primary attention to carrying forward the immortal feats of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il associated with it and gearing the contents of education to the policy of the Workers' Party of Korea.

It has put education on IT and scientific basis by applying advanced methods in education.

Many experimental apparatuses and teaching aids made by the school have been used in education.

The students are working hard to advance in knowledge.

Many of the classes have the honor of classes of A students and B students and an increasing number of students have obtained the "July 15 Honor Student Prize" and "'Our Classroom' Literary Prize".

The school has also produced ten-odd winners of the Kim Il Sung Youth Honor Prize and Kim Il Sung Children Honor Prize. Among the graduates from the school are heroes of the Republic and Doctors.

It, a Thrice Honored Red Flag School, has modern educational facilities, gymnasium and practice rooms.
