Korean Art Gallery Reconstructed
Pyongyang, May 20 (KCNA) -- The Korean Art Gallery has been reconstructed in a modern style.

Thousands of square meters of corridors and halls of the building were floored with high-quality granite and their walls decorated with stone tiles.

Ceilings, pillars, handrails and other parts of the interior were renewed to produce decorative and artistic effects to the maximum.

Wide halls and long corridors have been replenished with art works of various genres, including essays of renowned artists, so that visitors can enjoy art works in different parts of the gallery.

The show rooms have also taken on a new look.

They are 20 centimeters lower than before. Carved walls and ceilings, soft-colored and pacific-patterned floors and up-to-date illustrators add artistic value to the exhibits.

The gallery, a mixture of modern and national architecture, houses art works as valuable as national assets.
