Kim Jong Il said that invariable is the basic stand of the DPRK on maintaining the goal of denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula, implementing the joint statement issued at the six-party talks and pursuing a negotiated peaceful solution, expressing the will of the DPRK side to provide conditions favorable for the resumption of the six-party talks together with other parties to them.

The stand clarified by him was supported by the Chinese side.

Both sides expressed the stand to boost the traditional DPRK-China friendship.
