In an effort to bring Koryo celadon up to date, the group has embossed it with classical patterns and figures in an artistic way, promoting its beautiful and graceful features.

Its ceramists have harmonized the main characteristics of Koryo celadon -- shape, color and decoration -- with each other and blended in the color of the background with that of painting, adding different and rich decorations to the celadon.

They have inlaid jaded green celadon with patterns to ensure bright and wonderful colors peculiar to the celadon and put glaze on white and colorful celadon to create marvelous colors.

The group has also obtained possibilities to make jade-green Koryo celadon with clay abundant in the country.

Beside animals and plants such as crane and willow, they have created new patterns suitable for modern aesthetic feelings.

Scores of Koryo celadon and other ceramics created by the group have been recognized as national assets.
