Actions against Tuition-free except Korean Schools Unabated
Pyongyang, May 13 (KCNA) -- Korean residents in Japan are carrying on their actions for the settlement of the issue of support for the Korean schools.

Koreans in Nishi Kobe and Sumadarumi areas of Hyogo Prefecture conducted information service on April 23 denouncing the Japanese government for its unreasonable discrimination against the Korean schools.

Members of the Hyogo Prefectural Headquarters of the Korean Democratic Women's Union in Japan, teachers of the Korean primary and secondary school in Nishi Kobe and members of the mothers' association in literature condemned the Japanese authorities' unreasonable policy of discrimination against national education.

Officials and compatriots under the Itami Chapter of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) staged together with Japanese personages of different strata a joint action around Itami Railway Station on April 26 to build public opinion urging the authorities to enforce a policy of supporting the Korean schools without any discrimination.

Members of the Itami City Assembly involved in the information service held that the interference of politics in the education matter should not be allowed, stressing the need to enforce the policy of support for the Korean schools on an equal basis as it is done for the Japanese schools.
