Memorandum of DPRK FM Supported in Guinea
Pyongyang, May 12 (KCNA) -- Riyad Chaloub, chairman of the Guinean National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, issued a statement on May 5 in support of the memorandum of the DPRK Foreign Ministry.

Noting that it is the strong desire of humankind to build a nuclear-free world, the statement said:

The denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is part of global denuclearization.

The U.S., which had attempted to use nuclear weapons against Korea during the last Korean war, has since channeled every possible effort into making south Korea a base for nuclear attack on the DPRK.

The U.S. nuclear threat to the DPRK was brought to light in the "nuclear posture review" released in 2002.

In the review the U.S. designated the DPRK as target of nuclear attack and officially clarified that it would use nuclear weapons against the DPRK any time to meet its strategic interests.

The DPRK's accession to nuclear deterrent was prompted by its intention to defend its sovereignty.

Therefore, it serves as a powerful and just shield for peace and security of the Korean Peninsula.

As proven by all the facts, the U.S. is wholly to blame for the nuclear crisis looming large to the Korean Peninsula.

We will always express support and solidarity for all the measures taken by the DPRK for the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and the rest of the world and the just cause of the DPRK.
