Memorandum of DPRK FM Supported in Switzerland
Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea of Switzerland issued a joint statement on April 22 in support of the memorandum released by the DPRK Foreign Ministry.

The statement introduced in detail the contents of the memorandum, noting that all the facts clearly show who was the first to deploy nuclear weapons on the Korean Peninsula and who is threatening others.

The DPRK has striven to defuse the U.S. nuclear threat by means of building a nuclear-free zone through dialogue and negotiations, it said, adding:

The U.S., however, turned down all the proposals and initiatives of the DPRK.

This compelled the DPRK to develop its own nuclear weapons for self-defence.

The DPRK successfully conducted a nuclear test in October of 2006 and in May of 2009.

This put an end to the nuclear imbalance in Northeast Asia where only the DPRK was left without any nuke.

The DPRK will not use its nuclear weapons against non-nuclear states or threaten them with nukes as long as they do not join nuclear weapons states in invading or attacking it.

The DPRK will continue to support the international efforts for nuclear non-proliferation and nuclear disarmament.

To have fair talks with the DPRK or not entirely depends upon the U.S.

The statement demanded the U.S. stop at once its nuclear threat to the DPRK.
