Iranian Ambassador Hosts Reception
Pyongyang, April 22 (KCNA) -- Morteza Moradian, Iranian ambassador to the DPRK, gave a reception at the embassy on Thursday to commemorate the Day of the Sun and the 17th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's election as chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission.

Present there on invitation were Choe Thae Bok, chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, Jong Yong Su, minister of Labour, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Ri Yong Chol, vice-department director of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea, Pak Kil Yon, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ri Myong San, vice-minister of Foreign Trade, and others.

The visiting delegation of the Iranian Foreign Ministry led by Vice-Minister Mohammad Ali Fathollahi and staff members of the Iranian embassy were on hand.

Mohammad Ali Fathollahi said at the reception that the friendly relations between the two countries provided by their leaders have grown stronger in various domains including politics, economy and culture.

He referred to the fact that the two countries are supporting with each other and hoped that the cooperation with the DPRK government will be held positively in the economic field in the future.

Choe Thae Bok said in his speech that the politico-ideological and military might of the DPRK has been further enhanced under the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il.

He stressed that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries provided by President Kim Il Sung together with the top leaders of Iran have grown stronger under deep care of the leaders of the two countries.
