Ryongyang Mine
Pyongyang, April 21 (KCNA) -- The Ryongyang Mine is a gigantic magnesite producer of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The mountains belonging to the mine have been called "gold mountains", "money mountains" and the like as they have billions of tons of high-grade magnesite deposits.

The government has made a great investment in the mine to increase its production capacity by constructing large-sized vertical ore dropping chutes and terraced stopes.

An underground belt conveyer and heavy-media large and small ore dressing plants, each plant with millions of tons of annual capacity, have also appeared in the mine.

The mine has constructed promising pits and more stopes while securing more magnesite deposits.

It is now buckling down to realizing mass mining and processing and putting mining on a large and modern basis.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il visited the mine in May Juche 98 (2009) and set forth tasks to be fulfilled by the mine to contribute to the economic growth of the country and the improvement of the people's living.
