Appreciating the performances were senior party, army and state officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army, working people in the city of Pyongyang, diplomatic envoys of different countries and representatives of international organizations here, foreign guests and overseas compatriots.

Artistes of central and local art troupes put on the stages such colorful numbers as violin solo "We Go to Mangyongdae" and female solo "The Eternal Smile".

The performers loudly sang of the feats of President Kim Il Sung who turned the DPRK into a socialist power, independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence, under the banner of the Juche idea and made an immortal contribution to the popular masses' cause of independence.

In male solo "Tell, the Road of Songun" and female trio and chorus "General, Here Is the Forefront" they well represented the greatness of General Secretary Kim Jong Il who is translating the President's desire into reality under the banner of Songun.

Overseas compatriot artistes including the art troupe of Koreans in Japan put on the stage such songs as praising the sun and the homeland.

The program included such numbers as mixed chorus "Arirang of Prosperity of Chongryon" and female sextet "We Can Do" which reflect the determination of overseas compatriots to dynamically advance along the road of patriotism, sharing the mind and breathing the same breath with the people in the homeland who are faithful to the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
