Struggle against Group of Traitors Declared in S. Korea

Pyongyang, April 16 (KCNA) -- 19 general student councils of south Korea including those of Korea University, Yonsei University, Hanyang University and Pusan University and various university student organizations on April 11 formed a "solidarity of university students voters", declaring that they would stage a vigorous struggle to judge the puppet group with the "elections to local self-governing bodies" as a momentum.

A press conference was called at Yonsei University that day as regards the inauguration of the solidarity.

At the conference the solidarity noted that the issue of registration fee remains unsettled despite the demand of university students and they are afraid of their graduation as the issue of jobless youths is very serious.

It declared that all the university students would pool their efforts to struggle for the democratic rights with the forthcoming "elections" as an occasion.

Deceptive "commitments" only for the "elections" are not needed, the organization said, adding that the university students demand realistic measures and proper policy for reducing the registration fee and settling the unemployment problem for the young people, etc.

It stressed that all the university students would take an active part in the "elections" to certainly judge the present conservative ruling forces and clearly show how strong their strength is.
