Ibrahim Eisam Lary, general-secretary of the Arab Lawyers Union, said in his statement on Apr. 5 that President Kim Il Sung is the great leader of the Korean people and the pioneer of the era of independence.

His undying feats for the Korean revolution and the world revolution have been creditably carried forward by General Secretary Kim Jong Il, he noted, adding that the exploits the President performed by fully supporting the struggle of peoples in developing countries will remain forever with the cause of independence.

Miguel Boieir, chairman of the Portugal-Korea Friendship Association, in his statement on Apr. 9 highly praised Kim Il Sung as the great man who founded the Juche idea and wisely led the Korean people and the world progressives to the accomplishment of the cause of socialism and global independence.

The statement stressed that the Korean people are sure to emerge victorious in the efforts to ensure peace in the Korean Peninsula and achieve the national reunification under the Songun revolutionary leadership of Kim Jong Il.

A member of the National Executive Committee of the Polish Communist Party said in a statement on April 5 that thanks to the wise policy of the Workers' Party of Korea led by Kim Jong Il the Korean people would surely build an economic power in Korea, full of optimism and confidence in victory, which will shine over the world.
