Story of Kim Jong Suk
Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) -- In the latter part of December Juche 27 (1938) when the anti-Japanese armed struggle was at its height, the members of a unit of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army were marching through a dense forest. One day they, given a rest order, all sank down on the ground covered with snow, so tired with ceaseless fierce battles and continued march.

Anti-Japanese heroine Kim Jong Suk, however, picked up pieces of wood to make a fire and boiled water for other guerrillas without a rest.

She then gave a cup of hot water to President Kim Il Sung ahead of others.

He highly appreciated her devotion to comrades-in-arms and told her to give hot water to all others.

Cooks of the unit, much moved by her comradeship, braced themselves up to follow her.

With all the members regaining strength after drinking hot water, the heroine encouraged them to overcome hardships and advance into the homeland with Kim Il Sung for bringing about a high tide in the Korean revolution.
