The organizations recalled at the press conference that the ministry is standing in the way of holding a seminar of inter-Korean women for the solution to the issue of the "comfort women" for the Imperial Japanese Army under the unreasonable pretext of "concern about personal safety", adding that this clearly indicates the stand of the authorities not to seek a true solution to the issue related to "comfort women".

The seminar is not a simple joint event but an event to bring about a decisive phase in the efforts to find a solution to the issue this year, they said, stressing that in the light of the present inter-Korean relations the ministry should positively support the joint event and contribute to making a breakthrough towards improving the inter-Korean relations.

The organizations demanded the authorities positively opt for ensuring the above-said joint event, though belatedly.
