The basket and letter were handed over to Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun by Swedish Ambassador Mats Foyer, doyen of the diplomatic corps, on Thursday.

Kim Jong Il also received a floral basket and a congratulatory letter from the military attaches corps here on the 17th anniversary of his election as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.

The basket and letter were conveyed to an official concerned by Chinese Military, Air and Naval Attache Sun Yanfeng, doyen of the corps, on the same day.
