The organizing committee of the festival has directed great efforts to facelifting the venues -- theaters, music halls, cultural houses, squares, parks and pleasure grounds.

Diplomas, cups, medals and posters for the festival have come into being.

Art troupes, art squads, itinerant art squads and people of different social strata in the capital and local areas and overseas Korean artistes have prepared fine works reflecting the greatness and noble traits of President Kim Il Sung and the development of the country under the Songun politics of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

The festival will be held from April 11 to 19. It will be participated in by more than 3,000 people from some 60 units, divided into groups of experts, art squads, itinerant art squads and working people.

The festival is held every other year.
