Finnish Figure Supports Korea's Reunification
Pyongyang, April 7 (KCNA) -- Antti Sika Aho, chairman of the Finland-Korea Society, released a statement on April 1 in support of the 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation.

Noting that April 6 is a significant day marking the 17th anniversary of the publication of the work "10-Point Programme of the Great Unity of the Whole Nation for the Reunification of the Country" by Kim Il Sung, eternal President of the Korean people, the statement went on:

The 10-point programme initiated by Kim Il Sung serves as a great political programme as it brings the true meaning of patriotism home to the Korean people and clearly indicates the orientation and ways of achieving national reunification by the concerted efforts of the whole nation.

The idea and line of great national unity set forth by the President out of his love for the nation and people have been successfully developed and enriched by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Kim Jong Il provided the historic June 15 north-south joint declaration and opened a turning phase of independent reunification and great national unity. This was an event to be specially recorded in the Korean people's history of reunification movement.

The Finland-Korea Society regards the 10-point programme as a genuine patriotic programme and banner to be always held fast to in the struggle for achieving the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea.

We are convinced that the Korean people would consolidate the national unity in the idea of "By our nation itself", the basic spirit of the joint declaration, and surely emerge victorious in their struggle to achieve the historical cause of independent reunification, peace and prosperity under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

We will extend invariable support and solidarity to the Korean people in their just cause, he added.
