Kim Yong Nam Sends Message of Thanks to Senegalese President
Pyongyang, April 6 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, sent a message of thanks to Abdoulaye Wade, president of Senegal, on Monday, leaving Dakar after wrapping up his visit to Senegal.

In the message Kim Yong Nam expressed thanks to the president, government and people of Senegal for the warm welcome and cordial hospitality accorded to him and his party.

I was very pleased to participate in the unveiling ceremony of the "Monument to Revival of Africa" held on the significant occasion of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the independence of Senegal and further deepen the friendship, in particular, the message noted.

It referred to the fact that at a series of contacts both sides exchanged sincere and beneficial views on the issue of steadily and energetically boosting the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and on matters of mutual concern.

Noting with satisfaction that the visit marked a significant occasion in further deepening the understanding and friendship between the two peoples and boosting the bilateral relations, the message wished the friendly Senegalese people fresh progress and prosperity and the president of Senegal good health and greater success in his work.
