Kim Yong Nam Meets Senegalese President
Pyongyang, April 5 (KCNA) -- Talks between Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, and Abdoulaye Wade, president Senegal, were held at the Presidential Palace Sunday.

Abdoulaye Wade said that he was pleased with the successful erection of the "Monument to Revival of Africa" with the help of able technicians from the DPRK.

Each country has a sovereign right in choosing its line, he said, supporting the independent politics of the DPRK.

At the talks both sides exchanged views on the issue of consolidating the friendly ties with a good tradition between the two countries and boosting the bilateral relations and matters of mutual concern.

Present there were Kim Hyong Jun, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and Ri Kyong Son, DPRK ambassador to Senegal, and Diof, minister of State and concurrently minister of Foreign Affairs, Oumar D. Ba., diplomatic adviser to the president, and Papa Mohamed Camara, special adviser to the president.

The talks proceeded in a friendly atmosphere.
