Rodong Sinmun Monday observes this in a signed commentary.

It goes on:

It is the way of thinking of the Japanese reactionaries that only by intensifying the threat and suppression of the Korean schools and Koreans in Japan under Chongryon they can force them to retract their demand for the inclusion in the tuition-free program for senior high schools and achieve their criminal aim with ease.

The Japanese reactionaries are resorting to desperate threat and blackmail even against the Korean schools after singling them out as targets of terrorism, not content with their frantic moves to crack down upon Chongryon, seized with the hostility towards the DPRK.

This grave development goes to patently prove that the Japanese reactionaries are the villains and wicked national chauvinists who utterly disregard the elementary ethics and morality, international law and diplomatic practice.

The recent threat to the above-said schools was an undisguised politically motivated provocation perpetrated by the Japanese reactionaries against the DPRK and Chongryon in pursuance of Japan's hostile policy toward the DPRK.

It bitterly denounces the above-said threat made by right-wing gangsters of Japan as a reckless action of those mad with the hostile policy toward the DPRK and national chauvinism.

The Japanese reactionaries are making desperate efforts to suffocate the DPRK and Chongryon but these will get them nowhere.

With nothing can they destroy Chongryon, a dignified overseas citizens' organization of the DPRK, and the Korean schools in Japan.

The Japanese reactionaries would be well advised to stop their anachronistic moves against the DPRK and those to suppress Chongryon. The Japanese authorities should ferret out those involved in the above-mentioned incident and severely punish the criminals.
