Sowing on Cold Beds for Rice Seedlings Begins
Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- Sowing on cold beds for rice seedlings has begun on co-op farms of the DPRK.

The agricultural workers of the DPRK have launched a campaign to finish the sowing in the best season as the spring sowing was delayed by the decrease in the overall percentage of sunshine as compared with the average.

Rural areas in South Hwanghae, South Phyongan and North Hwanghae provinces have kept the seed treatment and sprouting ahead of other work since they worked out proper plans for each day and field. They are registering good results everyday in qualitatively sowing seeds on all cold beds sufficiently covered with humus soil.

The North Phyongan Province has already finished sowing on cold beds for rice seedlings covering more than 360 hectares.

Co-op farms in Anbyon and Hamju counties and other areas on the east coast have set about the above-said sowing as the time is fit for the work.
