Kim Yong Nam Holds Talks with Gabon's President
Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- Talks between Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, and Ali Bongo Ondimba, President of Gabon, were held at the Gabonese presidential office on Tuesday.

Ali Bongo Ondimba said that it is the stand of the Gabonese government to steadily develop the friendly relations with the DPRK. Gabon will always support the cause of achieving the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea, he declared.

He wished the Korean people great success in their efforts to build a great prosperous and powerful nation and improve the people's standard of living.

At the talks both sides exchanged views on the matter of consolidating the friendly ties between the two countries and further developing the bilateral relations and on issues of mutual concern.

Present there from the DPRK side were Choe Chang Sik, minister of Public Health, Kim Hyong Jun, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Ri Myong San, vice-minister of Foreign Trade, and Ri Myong Chol, DPRK ambassador to Gabon, and from the opposite side were Paul Biyoghe Mba, prime minister of Gabon, Paul Toungui, minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Francophone, Alphonsine Mbie Nna, minister of Public Health, Social Affairs and Family, Magloire Ngambia, minister of Economy, Trade, Industry and Tourism, and Emmanuel Allo, Gabonese ambassador to the DPRK.

The talks proceeded in a friendly atmosphere.
