Xu said that the Chinese people and army set store by the traditional China-DPRK friendship provided by the revolutionaries of the elder generation of the two countries.

He noted that the two countries have made great contribution to defending the regional peace and stability, supporting and closely cooperating with each other over the past years.

Invariable is the stand of the Chinese party and government to steadily consolidate and develop the China-DPRK friendship no matter how the international situation may change, he declared.

The armies of China and the DPRK are assuming the important mission and responsibility for the development of the China-DPRK friendly relations, he said, stressing that the two countries would further develop their militant friendship sealed in blood this year marking the 60th anniversary of the Chinese People's Volunteers' entry into the Korean front.
