At the ceremony Edmond Jouve, honorary professor of University of Paris 5 and director-general of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the association.

The chairman said that anyone, if he or she hopes to find a true path to the independent development of mankind at present, should make a deep study of the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung and developed in depth by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the ceremony.
