Imperialists' "Peace" Ballad Flailed
Pyongyang, March 30 (KCNA) -- If a country weakens or gives up an anti-imperialist struggle, misinterpreting the change in the imperialists' methods of aggression as change in their aggressive nature, taken in by a sham peace touted by them, this will entail catastrophic consequences, warns Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a signed article.

The imperialists' loud-mouthed "guarantee of peace" is nothing but a synonym for aggression, war and intervention, it notes, and goes on:

The reality clearly proves that the imperialists never change their aggressive nature and regard it as their physiology to launch a brigandish war of aggression and resort to military blackmail in order to achieve their avaricious and hegemonic aims. There is no change in the real nature of imperialism in the past or in that of modern imperialism. If there be any change, imperialism has become craftier and more vicious and diverse in its methods of aggression and plunder.

Their "peace" ballad is just like a sort of narcotic to create illusions among people.

Those who harbored illusions about capitalism favorably approach the imperialists and seek to achieve development and prosperity with their help. This is, however, bound to lead to a national ruin.

This is eloquently proved by the miserable reality of those countries and nations which had illusions about imperialism.

Historical facts go to prove that a country can defend its dignity and triumphantly advance the human cause of independence only when it combats any illusion about capitalism and wages a resolute struggle against the imperialists.

Their "peace" ballad is a product of their crisis.

The imperialists are now in the grip of serious contradictions at home and abroad. Economic stagnation is deepening and the people's anti-war campaign is mounting at home. The imperialists are isolated and rejected internationally. They are seeking a way out of this predicament in aggression and war.

Historical facts prove that their loud-mouthed "peace" is always accompanied by aggression and war.
