Pohyon Temple in Mt. Myohyang Tells US Crime
Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- The Pohyon Temple, a masterpiece of architecture at the beginning of the 11th century, has been preserved in Myohyang, one of the six famous mountains of Korea.

The temple, a cultural heritage showing the outstanding architecture and artistic workmanship of the nation, has many evidences of the barbarous atrocities committed by the U.S. imperialists during the past Fatherland Liberation War.

Owing to the imperialists' indiscriminate bombing, more than 10 main buildings such as Taeung Hall and Manse Pavilion were destroyed and several thousand pieces of historic relics as valuable as national treasure were burnt.

The 9-storeyed square pagoda in front of the Manse Pavilion was demolished, several-hundred-year-old trees almost burnt away and the 13-storeyed octagonal pagoda has many of its 104 copper bells broken or disappeared by bomb fragments.

The temple was restored to its original state in the 1970s.

However, scars by machine-gun bullets and fragments and cracked parts still remain in the 13-storeyed and 9-storeyed pagodas.

They serve as evidences of the crime committed by the U.S. imperialists, who have perpetrated all sorts of vicious acts, always professing themselves as envoys of "God".
