More Books Sent to Grand People's Study House
Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- The Grand People's Study House, a grand seat for learning for all the people, has more books and data in the stacks every year.

General Secretary Kim Jong Il sent there a great number of books and data again some time ago.

Presented to the house last year were over 3,700 volumes in more than 2,100 categories and this year it has received more than 400 volumes in at least 170 categories.

This has brought the number of books and data sent by Kim Jong Il to the house to date since last year to more than 4,100 volumes in over 2,300 categories.

Among them are books and data that are helpful to attaining broad knowledge about the four pace-setting domains of the national economy and to researches of the scientists and technicians in the fields of light industry and agriculture which are the two most important fronts in the drive for improving the people's standard of living.

They also include translated data and CDs introducing scientific and technological data in several fields as well as books and data dealing with common medical knowledge.

There are also culinary books under the titles "100 varieties of Korean foods" and "Bean curd and 682 foods made with it".

The books and data are associated with the warm solicitude of Kim Jong Il who is determined to put the national economy, science and technology and all other sectors of the country on an ultra-modern level and make the Korean people lead a highly civilized life.
