The secretary of the Fermo City Committee of the Communist Party of Italy was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to publish and disseminate works of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and hold diverse political and cultural events including seminar, book and photo exhibition and film show on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
