Many People Visit Ponghwa Revolutionary Site
Pyongyang, March 23 (KCNA) -- Servicepersons and people of the DPRK are visiting the Ponghwa Revolutionary Site one after another with their boundless reverence for Kim Hyong Jik, an indomitable revolutionary fighter, on the occasion of the 93rd anniversary of the formation of the Korean National Association.

Kim Hyong Jik stayed in Ponghwa-ri from the middle of March, Juche 5 (1916) to November of next year and led the anti-Japanese national liberation struggle, taking this place as its base.

In the site there are dwelling house, spot of secret meetings in Mt. Ponghwa, ground for morning exercises, the Pisok-gye Monument, Maekjon Ferry and other relics associated with his revolutionary activities.

This year it has been visited by more than 30,000 servicepersons, working people from all walks of life and school youth and children.

Going round the site, the visitors look back with deep emotion on the immortal revolutionary career and feats of Kim Hyong Jik who brought about the dawn of the Korean revolution, going through untrodden and thorny path of history with the noble idea of loving the country, the nation and the people.
