S. Korean Forces Urged to Improve Inter-Korean Relations
Pyongyang, March 14 (KCNA) -- The permanent representative of the Scientific Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration in south Korea on March 5 urged the conservative ruling forces to roll back their anti-DPRK confrontation policy and opt for improving the inter-Korean relations.

He deplored that the present regime strictly banned the meeting of scientists in the south and the north, barring them from having any academic exchange, adding that the authorities disallowed the working contact with the north last year.

What the authorities should do, first of all, for improving the inter-Korean relations is to respect the spirit of the south-north joint declarations, make efforts to wipe out the distrust between the south and the north and abolish the "National Security Law", he urged.

Expressing the hope that scientists in the south and the north would be able to meet with each other this year, he called upon all the non-governmental organizations for reunification movement to unite as one and wage a more dynamic struggle to achieve reunification, the desire of the nation.
