Stern Punishment of S. Korean Regime Called for
Pyongyang, March 8 (KCNA) -- The forthcoming "election to local self-governing bodies" in south Korea will certainly prove to be people's court for meting out stern punishment to the regime of traitors. Rodong Sinmun Monday says this in a signed article.

It goes on:

With no trick can the conservative group evade the stern judgment by the south Korean people for the treachery they have committed during the past two years of their office, away from "election commitments".

The south Korean rulers offered everything to their American master while claiming the theory of "prioritizing the relations with the U.S.", thus forcing south Korea to fall victim to the U.S. policy of aggression and plunder. They make no scruple of committing such treachery as opening south Korean markets to American beef infected with mad cow disease in return for "tightened alliance" with the U.S. and conclusion of humiliating "Free Trade Agreement".

The south Korean rulers forced enterprises to launch "restructuring" and "layoff" and pushed medium and small enterprises into bankruptcy en masse in active pursuance of the "neo-liberal economic policy" under the signboard of "pragmatism". The group of traitors preoccupied with dependence on foreign forces busied themselves visiting other countries to beg for foreign capital allegedly to "control economic crisis" and drastically extended the term of exemption of taxes for foreign enterprises, thus introducing foreign monopoly capital to south Korea at random and leaving its economy to the tender mercy of foreign forces.

The conservative group had firmly committed themselves to pushing forward the "plan of building Sejong City" before the "presidential election" to win people's favor. But they reneged on their commitment and are pressing for a "draft amendment to the plan of building Sejong City", deceiving people again.

The south Korean people can no longer be taken in by the present rulers which turned their backs on the people. The evermore intensified struggle of south Koreans against the "government" is the demonstration of their will never to tolerate the unpopular misrule of the group of traitors, the article concludes.
