The Sweden-Korea Friendship Association in its statement branded the projected U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises as a serious threat to the peace of the Korean Peninsula and a dangerous saber-rattling which might spark off a nuclear war.

The growing danger of war on the Korean Peninsula is totally contrary to the DPRK's efforts for detente and durable peace and its proposal for concluding a peace treaty in particular, it pointed out, saying that the reality goes to prove that the U.S. is seeking confrontation and war rather than dialogue and peace.

The Addis Ababa Youth Association of Ethiopia in the statement expressed full support for the tough stand of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army that it will counter the U.S. and the south Korean puppet warmongers with strong military action if they stage the joint military exercises.

It held that the U.S. and the south Korean military should revoke the projected exercises at once and the U.S. should conclude a peace treaty with the DPRK at an early date for durable peace on the peninsula.
