Discussed there were the ways for boosting solidarity between workers in the north and the south, promoting national reconciliation and unity and taking the lead in opening the new phase for independent reunification this significant year marking the 10th anniversary of the historic June 15 north-south joint declaration.

Workers' organizations of the north and the south agreed to hold large inter-Korean workers' function for reunification in the area of the south side on the 120th May Day.

They also agreed to have a contact between workers of the north and the south in Pyongyang to have discussion on holding the May Day function for reunification and consolidating solidarity movement between workers of the north and the south and to promote diverse solidarity activities among organizations of different fields and industrial units this year.
