S. Korean Authorities' Policy of Jane Crow under Fire
Pyongyang, March 6 (KCNA) -- The Joint Planning Team for March 8 World Women's Day made up of the Federation of Women Peasants Associations, the Women's Solidarity, the Confederation of Trade Unions, the Solidarity for Progress, the All Together Organization, the Democratic Labor Party and other civic and public organizations and political parties of south Korea issued a statement on Feb. 28 to denounce the policy of discrimination against women pursued by the puppet authorities of south Korea.

Noting that unreasonable discrimination against women is going on in south Korea, the statement deplored that hit by an economic crisis, women are dismissed before any others and they are paid lesser wages than men for the same work done by them.

It went on:

Women are given no benefit even after giving birth to babies and most of the women workers are irregular workers. Women in their 20s are groaning in the mire of joblessness, denied even irregular jobs.

Women should turn out in the actions to win equal rights with men in order to be free from all sorts of discrimination and humiliation.

Women should never forget the victims of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, in particular, as their rights were mercilessly abused by the Japanese imperialists.
