Stop to War Exercises Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) -- Organizations of the movement for peace and reunification in south Korea including the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration held the 250th Friday rally against the U.S. and war and for the withdrawal of the U.S. troops outside the U.S. embassy in Seoul on Feb. 26.

Speakers at the rally accused the U.S. and south Korean bellicose forces of planning to stage the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises aiming at mounting a preemptive attack on the DPRK from March 8.

The projected saber-rattling brought to light the true colors of the U.S. seeking confrontation and war, not dialogue and peace, they held, demanding the U.S. immediately cancel the plan for the north-targeted joint military exercises which may bring the dark clouds of a nuclear war to hang over the Korean Peninsula and positively opt for concluding a peace treaty.
