Indonesian Ambassador Hosts Reception
Pyongyang, February 23 (KCNA) -- Daulat Hotma Audison Passaribu, Indonesian ambassador to the DPRK, Monday hosted a reception on the occasion of the birthday of General Secretary
Kim Jong Il.

Present there on invitation were Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Jong Suk, chairwoman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Kim Wan Su, vice-chairman of the SPA, Kim Song Nam, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and Pak Kil Yon, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, and officials concerned.

On hand were staff members of the Indonesian embassy here.

Daulat Hotma Audison Passaribu made a speech at the reception.

He said that the February holiday was celebrated in the significant year marking the 45th anniversary of the historic Indonesian visit paid by President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

He expressed belief that the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and Indonesia based on a solid foundation would continue to expand and develop in the common interests of the peoples of the two countries.

Yang Hyong Sop said in his speech that the birth of Kim Jong Il as a lodestar of Mt. Paektu was a great auspicious event as it promised the accomplishment of the revolutionary cause of Juche and a rosy future of the country.

He referred to the fact that the friendly relations between the DPRK and Indonesia provided by
Kim Il Sung and Sukarno have favorably developed day by day under the deep care of the top leaders of the two countries.

The DPRK will strive to boost the relations with Indonesia in different fields in the future, too, he stressed.
