Since the publication of the June 15 joint declaration that indicates a new way ahead of national reunification, many successes have been achieved in the movement of reunification for national reconciliation and unity, the statement said, and continued:

Contacts and cooperation between the organizations of different strata in the south and the north of Korea have been checked by the anti-reunification forces of south Korea and pro-reunification patriots are suppressed as reunification activities for implementing the declaration have been branded as "illegal," though.

The fellow countrymen have been faced with the task to meet all challenges of anti-reunification forces, put an end to the history of national division caused by outsiders and realize national reunification at an early date under the banner of the south-north joint declaration through national unity.
