The State Merited Chorus put on the stage male chorus "He Is Our Illustrious Commander of Songun", "Old Home Covered with Snow", "We Long for You, General" and mixed duet and male chorus "Joy in February" and other numbers.

The performers enthusiastically sang of the undying leadership feats performed by Kim Jong Il in reinforcing the Party and the revolutionary armed forces and building a rich and powerful country under the uplifted banner of Songun and the high national pride and dignity of the Korean people being blessed with the illustrious leaders generation after generation and successfully represented the unshakable faith and will of the service personnel and people to follow him single-mindedly and accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche.

He expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the artistes presented a splendid performance replete with the faith and will of the DPRK and the revolutionary soldier spirit. He highly appreciated their success in the performance.

Among the audience were KPA Vice Marshal Kim Yong Chun, vice-chairman of the NDC of the DPRK and minister of the People's Armed Forces, KPA General Kim Jong Gak, member of the NDC of the DPRK and first vice-director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, KPA General Ri Yong Ho, chief of the General Staff of the KPA, and other commanding officers of the army and armed forces organs and secretaries of the C.C., the WPK Choe Thae Bok and Kim Ki Nam and Department Directors of the C.C., the WPK Kim Kyong Hui, Jang Song Thaek, Kim Yong Il and Kim Yang Gon and other leading officials of the C.C., the WPK.
