Relics Belonging to Tangun Korea Discovered
Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- A ruined house dating back to the period of Tangun Korea has recently been discovered by Korean archeologists in the area of Richon-ri, Sungho District, Pyongyang.

The site, rectangular in plane, is 10.6-10.8 meters long and 6.15-6.3 meters wide. It has an even and solid floor. Found at the site were scores of broad and flat stones of different sizes believed to have been used as stone anvils.

Among excavations are also such stone tools as dagger, spearhead, luniform knife, plane blade, chisel, axe and spinning wheel as well as grindstones used for making them, totaling to scores of pieces.

The stone tools and half-finished things are large in number with earthenware amounting to only a few pieces.

Judging from the size of the site and the finds from it, the archeologists presume it to be a place of making stone tools.

The discovered relics and remains are of significance in research into the production activities and cultural development in the period of Tangun Korea, particularly into labor tool making techniques.
