Pyongyang, February 10 (KCNA) -- The Guinean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Overseas Compatriots sent a message to the DPRK embassy in Conakry on February 4 in support of the statement of the DPRK Foreign Ministry which proposed to the parties concerned to the Armistice Agreement an early start of the talks for replacing the AA by a peace treaty this year which marks the lapse of 60 years since the outbreak of the Korean War.

The message said that the ministry extends full support to the proposal of the DPRK for peace, prompted by the desire to remain true to the international principle for encouraging dialogue to seek a peaceful solution of the dispute between states and the common interests in boosting the good friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and the mutual support and solidarity.

The Guinean government regards this proposal as a positive phase in building confidence and achieving peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and as measure of great historic significance and believes that it will help strengthen the international cooperative relations, the message stressed.
